Florence graduated with a Science degree (Major in Food and Nutritional Science) from The University of British Columbia, Canada in 2007.
She then followed her passion and went on to graduate with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from The University of Melbourne in 2014. After graduation she returned to Hong Kong where she worked in a shelter and family practice for 2 years. The challenges in welfare case management helped her learn how to deal with difficult circumstances and make tough decisions for every pet. Her eagerness to learn led to her acceptance into a year-long rotating internship in a busy specialty referral hospital. During the program she developed an understanding of best clinical practice and how to handle a diverse and complex caseload. After successful completion of the internship in 2018, she continued her training in the same hospital as a specialty intern in surgery. Under the close mentorship of a Specialist Surgeon she gained invaluable knowledge in surgical skills. She recently completed the surgical internship and is very excited to join the iTrust family. She is passionate about continuing to upgrade her skills so she can provide the best care to her furry patients.
She is currently undertaking a graduate certificate in small animal ultrasound.
